UPDATES ON CAPITOL HILL ISSUES:

The SENATE JUDICIARY Committee has scheduled a hearing on performance tax on August 4th at 2:30pm.  We are up to 245 co-sponsors on H. Con. Res. 49!!  Rhode Island Broadcasters Association and its Board of Directors continue to work with our Legislators to gain thier support and voice in Congress.  On April 1, 2009 the RIBA Board of Directors visited Capitol Hill to speak about Performance Tax, SHVERA, FM Chips and Retransmission.  We will continue to update from our home state as the House adjourns on Friday, July 30th and the Senate is scheduled to adjourn on August 7.  Stay tuned....
